A new Volkswagen Tiguan with a hybrid powertrain will appear in China

The debut of the Tiguan L ePro crossover is expected in June. It will be able to travel up to 117 km on pure electric power, and in the combined cycle it will consume less than 5.3 liters of gasoline per 100 km.

A new version of the popular Volkswagen crossover will hit the Chinese market in June. Information about it appeared in the database of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China.

The key feature of the new product is its rechargeable hybrid power plant. It includes a 1.5-liter petrol turbo engine with 129 hp. The capacity of the traction lithium-ion battery is 22 kWh; on electricity, the hybrid Tiguan can travel up to 117 km.

The full range, taking into account the gasoline in the tank, is not disclosed. It is only known that the hybrid consumes less than 5.3 liters of gasoline per 100 km in the combined cycle.

The hybrid version of the Volkswagen Tiguan L ePro received an original exterior design with a solid panel instead of the classic radiator grille and an LED luminous strip. The rear light is also made through, across the entire width of the trunk door. The length of the crossover is 4744 mm, the wheelbase is 2791 mm.
