At the Bring a Trailer auction, the fight literally broke out for the unique 1975 Nissan Skyline 2000GT, which had undergone a deep modernization in the American studio JDM Legends. The classic coupe received an engine three times more powerful than the factory one, a pumped-up suspension and styling to resemble the rare Skyline GT-R. Car rates are rising every hour.
The main technical improvement was the replacement of the original 130 hp engine with a modern 3.5-liter inline unit, equipped with specially designed throttle valves, a new control unit and a Fujitsubo exhaust system. According to JDM Legends experts, the power of the new engine reaches an impressive 400 horsepower. The transmission has also undergone major changes, using a 6-speed manual transmission from the Nissan 350Z, complemented by a racing clutch and limited slip differential.

The exterior of the car has undergone significant changes with the addition of wheel arch extensions, aerodynamic spoilers and a new grille, which visually brings it closer to the rare 1973 Skyline GT-R, produced in less than 200 copies. The interior features a sporty, minimalist design with carbon fiber panels, bucket seats and a bolt-on half-cage.
At the end of 2024, in the Japanese city of Yokohama, a sticker from the trunk lid of a Nissan Skyline GT-R was put up for sale at a price of more than 40 thousand dollars, which is comparable to the cost of a modern Chinese car. This badge, removed from a 1996 car, is not just a sticker, but a symbol of the rarity and iconicity of the Skyline Nismo 400R.
