The production model will be based on the Performance EV concept and will use Honda’s own platform. The new product will celebrate its premiere in 2025.
The Acura brand has decided to resurrect the RSX model. It will not become the North American version of the new Honda Integra (Acura already has its own Integra), but will turn out to be an electric crossover, a serial embodiment of the Performance EV concept. The new product will be based on a proprietary platform. Multimedia will run on ASIMO OS, which parent Honda showed at CES 2025. The model will be assembled at the Honda EV Hub plant in Ohio. The deadline is until the end of this year.
For Acura, this will be the second all-electric model in its portfolio. The first also bears the historical abbreviation – ZDX, but is built on the Ultium “trolley”, which Honda received as part of a partnership with General Motors. The electric ZDX can be rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, with one or two electric motors. In the first case, the power is 363 horsepower, in the second – 497-507. The crossover has a battery with a capacity of 102 kilowatt-hours. Cruising range is up to 504 kilometers according to the American EPA cycle.

Honda is also working in full swing on new battery models. They will be part of the so-called zero family, and two have already been declassified. Commercial Honda 0 will receive e-Axle units (motor, inverter and gearbox in one unit) and a compact traction battery with a high specific capacity. In addition, electric cars will surprise you with their ultra-low weight and aerodynamics from the world of motorsport.
