It is based on the all-wheel drive BMW M850i xDrive Gran Coupe with a V8 4.4 biturbo engine. On the Alpina, the engine produces 634 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque and allows you to shoot to “hundreds” in 3.3 seconds.
Alpina has released the latest model as an independent manufacturer. The four-door B8 GT is based on the BMW M850i xDrive Gran Coupe and has a 4.4 twin-turbo eight under the hood, developing 634 horsepower and 850 Nm of torque. The same engine on a regular V8 produces 530 power and 750 Nm, and on a B8 without the GT prefix – 621 power and 800 Nm.

In combination with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, the Alpine unit allows you to accelerate to the first “hundred” in 3.3 seconds – a tenth of a second slower than the M8 Competition. The B8 GT’s top speed is 330 kilometers per hour, the same as the smaller B5 GT.
The sports car is equipped with aerodynamic elements made of carbon fiber and forged wheels from the Classic line with a diameter of 21 inches with Pirelli P Zero tires. The interior is trimmed with genuine leather and wood. A total of 99 examples of the B8 GT will be produced, of which 20 will have a two-tone body (blue/green + black). The price in Germany is 225 thousand euros. For comparison: the BMW M850i xDrive costs from 134,900 euros, the M8 Competition Gran Coupe from 180,500.
Until the end of 2025, Alpina will be listed as an independent manufacturer, and then the rights to the brand will be transferred to BMW AG – on the American website, the Alpina brands are already adjacent to the main modifications. The model range will also change, and Alpina will show a completely new line very soon. Ex-Polestar stylist Maximilian Missoni will be responsible for its design.
