Assembly of Uraman truck chassis has started in Russia

Veles Automobile Plant LLC delivered the first batch of vehicle kits for organizing large-unit assembly of truck chassis under the Uraman brand. Representatives of the car plant reported this to Motor magazine. Production will be carried out on the territory of the Ulyanovsk port special economic zone.

The delivery includes a “chassis unit”, which includes an engine, gearbox, axles and frame, as well as a cabin and wheels. The products are fully certified: Chassis Type Approval and Vehicle Type Approval were received by the manufacturer in 2025.

In April 2026, the assembled chassis will be equipped with dump bodies and handed over to the structures of the state company NatsProektStroy so that the equipment can be used for the construction of the Moscow-St. Petersburg high-speed railway.

Earlier, NatProektStroy tested Uraman trucks. Based on the results of the tests, it was decided to modify the design of the vehicles, but the operators noted the high maneuverability, reliability of the chassis and the ability to work where other equipment stops.
