About a year ago, the British brand revealed the updated Vantage, and it was only a matter of time before a soft-top version appeared. Stylistically, the roadster is identical to the coupe, and under the hood it has the same four-liter Mercedes-AMG V8. The weight increased slightly due to the replacement of the roof, but the engineers tried to keep the increase to a minimum and maintained an almost ideal weight distribution along the axles – 49:51 in favor of the rear.

The Roadster, like the coupe, is powered by a four-liter V8 with twin turbocharging. The engine produces 665 horsepower and 800 Nm, which is 155 horsepower and 115 Nm more than the previous model. The two internal combustion engines are paired with an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission; An electronically controlled limited-slip differential is installed at the rear. The sports car has a double-wishbone suspension at the front and a multi-link at the rear with Bilstein DTX adaptive shock absorbers.

The Roadster accelerates from zero to 96 kilometers (60 miles) per hour in 3.5 seconds—0.1 second slower than the coupe. The maximum speed is 325 kilometers per hour.

The roof folds in a Z-shape and opens and closes at speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour; you can control it remotely. The process takes just 6.8 seconds: Aston Martin claims it is the fastest such mechanism on the market. The total weight with its addition increased, but minimally – by 60 kilograms.
