Aurus “overdo” in Russian Gislaved tires

The domestic brand of luxurious cars partially switched to new Gislaved rubber, which is included in the Cordiant holding, says Queto.ru. It is clarified that Gislaved tires will receive, among other things, those auruses that are operated in the special purpose garage (Gon). The Russian plant produces these tires, and Gislaved is the only brand of the Continental AG concern, to which the new owners of the enterprise retained the rights.

Initially, Aurus cars were offered with Russian -made Pirelli Scorpion rubber, and special rubber Kama with protection against punctures was developed for armored versions of models. Quto.ru notes that the domestic automaker switched to Gislaved only partially, while they were also received from a special purpose garage.

Last fall, it became known that the S8 Capital Holding sold one of the leading Russian and European manufacturers of tires, auto components and power tools to the Cordiant Cordiant group. The manufacturer’s line includes Cordiant, Tunga, Torero, Gislaved passenger tires – Cordiant Professional and Tyrex, as well as the Meteor Auto, Meteor Thermo and Meteor of those.

Returning to Aurus, last year the brand sales amounted to 121 cars against 115 units a year earlier – data on the number of cars first registered. Almost 73 percent of sales was on the Senat sedan, which was dispersed by the amount of 88 copies, another 24 percent were Komendant crossovers (29 pieces), and the remaining four cars are armored Arsenal minivans.
