Last Thursday on Rungstrasse Street, eyewitnesses noticed an unusual picture: the police evacuator took Hypercar from the violator for three million euros. The driver of the Bugatti Chiron rode in the city at a speed of 123 km/h, which is a serious offense. Under Austrian laws, an excess of 60 km/h or more entails the arrest of the car and deprivation of rights: this happened this time.
The driver of Hypercar tried to avoid responsibility, claiming that the car did not belong to him. However, in Austria, this fact matters only in the case of confiscation of transport with subsequent sale at the auction: for this you need to exceed the speed by 80 km/h or more. In this case, the dashing escaped a penalty and deprivation of rights.

The exact punishment is unknown: the decision is made based on the driver’s biography. But the minimum punishment for exceeding the speed in the city by 60 km/h is the deprivation of rights by six weeks. Bugatti Chiron accelerates to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds, but for the police this fact did not become a mitigating circumstance. At the same time, fines in Austria by European standards are not the highest: the maximum tariff for speeding is 2180 euros.
The amount seems solid, if you do not take into account the progressive system of fines in Switzerland. In this country, the punishment is taken taking into account the well -being of the offender, so recently, for non -compliance with the distance, the driver had to pay 100 thousand Swiss francs (113 thousand dollars).
