Auto expert Moseev: 10-12 auto companies from China will remain in the Russian car market

In order to fully serve the needs of the Russian car market for new cars, the country does not need the number of Chinese automakers that are present in Russia now. The ex-director of the Association of Russian Automobile Dealers (ROAD) Oleg Moseev told Motor magazine about this.

“For our market, we need not 56 automakers on the market, as now, but a maximum of 10-12, which will completely cover the entire need for the model mix,” said Oleg Moseev.

In his opinion, until this optimization occurs, the development of the domestic auto industry and the localization of Chinese companies will be difficult.

Before this, Moseev named the main problem of the Russian automobile industry. In his opinion, in order to localize car production in Russia, foreign and domestic automakers are sorely lacking the capacity of the Russian car market.

He emphasized that the country remains dependent on the supply of auto components from abroad. And there Russia has problems with unfriendly countries.

Previously, the expert gave precise advice to drivers in case of excessive fuel consumption.
