Auto expert Tselikov: after 100 thousand kilometers, it’s time to sell the car

According to the results of a survey conducted in the audience of Autostat Telegram channels, the majority of respondents (33%) consider the optimal mileage for selling a car to be 100-150 thousand kilometers. The study involved 1,392 people. This was reported by the head of the analytical agency Sergei Tselikov in his Telegram channel.

“Every fifth respondent (21%) believes that it’s time to sell a car up to 100 thousand km. And every sixth (17%) is sure that it is possible to travel up to 200 thousand. Only every 20th respondent (4%) believes that it is time to change the car to a new one after 50 thousand kilometers traveled. By the way, previously the share of such motorists was significantly higher,” the publication says.

There is also a fairly significant group of drivers (12%) who adhere to the strategy of “drive all the way” – while the car is still able to move independently.

According to Sergei Tselikov, after 150 thousand kilometers, even for thrifty owners, investments in the car begin to grow, and the likelihood of expensive repairs becomes significantly higher. At the same time, cars differ from each other, and they have their own breakdown statistics.

Earlier, Avtodor announced an increase in tariffs on toll roads.
