Almost every fifth buyer (18.2%) chose the Mazda CX-5 when choosing a foreign car. This Chinese-assembled Japanese crossover was registered more than 4.4 thousand times in the first two months of the year. Last year, the demand for the model was noticeably lower, but now it has successfully fit into the “new scrap” scheme – sales have increased many times over. The head of the analytical agency Avtostat, Sergei Tselikov, reported this on his Telegram channel.
“In second place is the Toyota RAV4 crossover (6.1%), almost 1.5 thousand units were sold. The third most popular model is the Toyota Highlander – 4.6% or 1134 units. The top 5 also included the Czech liftback Skoda Superb, which accounted for 4% of the segment, and the Korean crossover Kia Seltos 3.1%,” the expert answered.
According to him, the most popular foreign cars also included the BMW X3, Volkswagen Tiguan, Nissan Qashqai and Audi Q5, Volkswagen Tharu, BMW X5, Volkswagen Teramont, Lexus RX, Hyundai Tucson, Honda Vezel, BMW X1, Honda CR-V, Hyundai Elantra. The stable demand for the American RAM 1500 pickup truck deserves special attention.
