Auto expert Zinoviev listed 7 critical shortcomings of the Mitsubishi L200 pickup truck

We are talking about a fifth-generation car (2015-2023 production). The model, produced in Thailand and sold in Russia, has earned a reputation as a reliable frame SUV with excellent cross-country ability, but has a number of vulnerabilities that buyers in the secondary market should be aware of.

According to Behind the Wheel expert Sergei Zinoviev, the pickup truck is not best protected from rust. This is especially noticeable on elements such as footrests (which also become loose over time) and on installed kungs – the latter often begin to rust first and do not provide a tight seal, allowing dust to pass through.

The main engine – aluminum diesel 4N15 2.4 (154 or 181 hp) – is generally reliable and capable of traveling more than 350 thousand kilometers. Intake flaps and valves that are overgrown with soot and clogged, the particulate filter, and most often the EGR system require attention. In early versions there was a problem with timing chain stretching (later it was modernized), and overheating threatens cracks in the cylinder head.

Manual transmissions (6-speed V6M5A for diesel and 5-speed V5M21 for gasoline) are quite durable (up to 200-250 thousand kilometers), but regular rough off-road conditions approximately double the wear of synchronizers and bearings.

Earlier it was reported that Daimler will present an electric bus, which has a power reserve 2.5 times greater than that of KamAZ.
