Autostat: average mileage on electric cars is 25% less than on gasoline cars

In Russia, electric cars travel on average about 12.5 thousand kilometers per year. The indicator for gasoline and diesel passenger cars is noticeably higher – 16.8 thousand kilometers. Hybrids occupy an intermediate position with a result of 15.3 thousand kilometers. The head of the analytical agency Avtostat, Sergei Tselikov, reported this on his Telegram channel.

β€œThe average annual mileage on electric cars is 25% less than on gasoline cars and 18% less than on hybrids,” the expert said.

According to him, data from classification data for the first five months of 2026 were used for the calculation. In total, more than 850 advertisements were analyzed. At the same time, only cars produced in 2022–2024 were taken into account, since the mileage on older cars is more often increased, and the number of electric vehicles and hybrids before 2022 is much smaller.
