Autostat: sales of Korean cars in Russia increased by 78%

Based on the results of January-March 2026, 4.2 thousand new passenger cars of Korean brands were sold in Russia. Experts from the Autostat agency report this with reference to data from PPK JSC.

The share of South Korean brands in the Russian car market increased from 1% to 1.6%. The leader among them remains Kia with a result of 2 thousand cars sold (+90% compared to last year). In second place is Hyundai (1.4 thousand units; +17.3%), KGM closes the top three (624 units). Sales of Genesis and Samsung did not exceed 100 units in total.

Autostat expert Dmitry Yarygin notes that of all the Korean brands, only KGM is officially present on the Russian market, the rest are supplied through parallel imports.

The most popular model was the Kia Seltos crossover (971 units), followed by the Hyundai Tucson (543 units) and the Hyundai Elantra sedan (300 units).
