Autostat: sales of new hybrids in Russia increased by 85%

In January and February 2026, 7.9 thousand new plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) were sold in Russia. Experts from the analytical agency Autostat report this with reference to data from PPK JSC.

“Despite the overall decline in the passenger car market during this time (-3.9%), the share of hybrids in it managed to grow from 2.6% (based on the results of two months of 2025) to 4.9% (in January – February 2026),” experts report.

Voyah became the leader among hybrids in January-February: 1,756 cars were sold, the share was 22%. In second place is Geely (1,467 units), third place is taken by last year’s leader Lixiang (1,050 units). The top 5 also included Evolute and Lynk & Co.

Voyah Free is the leader in the hybrid model rating: 1,408 units were sold in two months. The trio also includes Evolute i-SPACE and the new Geely EX5 EM-i. It’s interesting that half of the top 10 are models that were not yet sold in Russia a year ago.

Previously, Jaguar canceled the development of the F-type coupe for the sake of an unsuccessful rebranding.
