AvtoVAZ commented on the purchase of the Chery Arrizo 8 business sedan

The press service of the auto giant told Motor that the plant “regularly buys cars of other brands for studying, comparing consumer characteristics and properties”, and such an analysis is a global practice. A photograph of the richly equipped Cherizo 8 in a row with the test prototypes ISKRA and Vesta SW Cross appeared in the Togliatti public Avtograd News.

Chery Arrizo 8 on the balance sheet of AvtoVAZ was released in 2023, and registered last summer. Probably, the factory was compared by a Chinese business sedan with a future flagship-Aura model. At prices, four-doors are close: LADA in the top version costs 2.8 million rubles, and the basic Arrizo 8 can be taken for 2.9 million rubles. At the same time, both automakers offer solid discounts from 200 thousand rubles.

Last time, Cherovaz cars appeared on the balance sheet of AvtoVAZ for a reason: in Togliatti they were preparing to load the “Avtozavod St. Petersburg”. However, this time there is no need to talk about the localization of the production of Arrizo 8: the partnership with Chery has come to an end, the X-Cross 7 and X-Cross 8 crossovers are no longer produced, and the Chinese concern enters other sites in Kaliningrad and Kaluga.

Although Cherizo 8 is imported into Russia, this does not interfere with public procurement. For their needs, business departments were purchased at the Ministry of Emergencies and the Russian Guard, however, we are talking about small batches of cars.
