AvtoVAZ extended OTTS for Lada Niva Legend until 2029

The Russian automaker has received a new Vehicle Type Approval for the Lada Niva Legend SUV family. As Motor magazine found out, the document is valid until February 16, 2029 – all this time AvtoVAZ can produce and sell such cars.

This year Lada Niva Legend will receive a new engine and LED headlights. The head of product marketing of the brand, Sergei Kornienko, spoke about plans to modernize the oldest SUV.

The exact prices will be revealed before the start of sales, but you can take the Niva Travel as a guide, the basic equipment of which, after the introduction of a 90-horsepower 1.8-liter engine, increased in price by 76 thousand rubles.

The new OTTS still specifies the previous power units: it is obvious that the company will issue an “extension” of the document as soon as the new modification passes the tests required by law.

Sales of “cheap” Zeekr 9X have started in Uzbekistan. For Lada cars, laser welding will be used for the first time. In Russia, the production of cars of two Chinese brands will be launched.

Earlier, AvtoVAZ told how to buy a Niva for 800,000 rubles. In total, the auto giant now offers about two dozen discount programs, but the most profitable ones relate specifically to SUVs.
