AvtoVAZ launches sales of sports Lada Niva: how much does it cost

From April 5, Niva Sport will be available for purchase from official Lada dealers at a price of 1,699,000 rubles. From the usual classic “Niva”, the version with the prefix Sport is characterized by 17-inch two-tone discs and extensors of wheeled arches, its interior is black with red accents. But the main thing is a 1.6 -liter motor forced up to 122 horsepower and the suspension sports settings.

AvtoVAZ claims Lada Niva Sport no competitors in the segment. “This car will open a new discipline for many and give a special drive from the management of a dynamic all -wheel drive SUV,” said Maxim Sokolov, head of AvtoVAZ. “At the same time, the classic Niva remains the most affordable ticket to the world of offroide.”

In total, the NIVA Sport has more than 140 design changes compared to the standard model. For example, the characteristics of a forced 16-valve engine are improved due to a lightweight intake and release system, sports camshafts and a special controller firmware. The motor provides the SUV from a place of up to 100 kilometers in 11.8 seconds and a maximum speed of 162 kilometers per hour.

The suspension has sports settings, and the road clearance is increased from 200 to 220 millimeters. In addition, the Niva Sport has strengthened the body and a more effective brake system is installed: front brakes – ventilated disk, the rear – disk. The shock absorbers have racing settings, a reptile stability stabilizer is used in the rear suspension, and the rear axle beam is amplified.

The SPORT version is based on the NIVA Legend top configuration: the equipment includes rails, additional headlight headlights on the front bumper, the overlay of the air intake on the hood that increases the efficiency of the heating and ventilation system. There is an air conditioner, heating the front seats and external mirrors with electroregulations.

The AvtoVAZ emphasizes that the ergonomics of the Lada Niva Sport is adapted to speedy driving: the steering column is adjusted by inclination, the steering wheel is lined with skin. The handout is equipped with a single -leaf drive.
