AvtoVAZ opened investments in a seven -seater minivan based on Vesta

Vice President of Auto Gigant Sergey Gromak confirmed to Izvestia that a novelty in the aggregate would be invested 21 billion rubles. AvtoVAZ is already preparing for the production of a family minivan, the uniform will have versions with five and seven seats. The layout of the novelty, under the code name Lada B-Van in Togliatti, showed Vladimir Putin a month and a half ago.

Investments in the amount of 21 billion rubles mean that in real terms, the development of a minivan will be cheaper than the B-Cross-Cross Crossover or the Lada ISKRA family. AvtoVAZ rated investments in each of these new products at 23 billion rubles. It will be possible to save money because they plan to unify B-Van with the SUV: the nasal part, suspension, as well as the front of the cabin will be common.

The platform for the crossover and minivan will borrow from Lada Vesta, but there may be surprises for power units. Throughout the history, AvtoVAZ did not have serial turbo engines.

Officially, little is known about Minivan. Lada B-Van is distinguished by a length of about 4.6 meters, will receive a salon with a full-functional third series of seats and convenient access. The final design version should already be agreed. In the gamut of AvtoVAZ, the novelty will not replace, but complement the utility Lada Largus.
