AvtoVAZ patented "literary" names Onegin, Poema and Tezis

In addition, according to Rospatent, patents have been filed for the names Arteus, Bagira, Elegia and Tenor.

Applications were received by the Federal Service for Intellectual Property on June 22, 2026. All marks are planned to be registered under the 12th class of the International Classification of Goods and Services (ICGS), which includes cars, spare parts and accessories.

As AvtoVAZ representatives previously noted, the company patents names for new cars in advance, and not all of them can be used. In recent years, the plant has also applied for such marks as Lada Tigris, Lada Ariva, Lada Parus, as well as the phrase “It’s possible, but why?” for ten classes of the IKTU.
