Togliatti portal Avtograd News shared a prototype from the intra -factory park. It is not easy to meet E-Largus on the streets: the first batch of 500 “commodity” cars is still going. According to the Russian car telegram channel, they intend to optimize the structure at the plant and remove the battery from the motor compartment. The battery will be left alone, but increased capacity.

The Lada E-Largus prototype in the intra-factory numbers of AvtoVAZ differs from demonstration samples: there are no rails and black moldings on the doors, the handles are not painted. However, the station wagon has original disks with a directed pattern and all the decorative nameplate of the electric car is also available. The production of electric cars was launched in September, but at the factory it was recognized: the price turned out to be “difficult to implement this machine”.

Given the state subsidies, the LADA E-Largus electric car costs 2.99 million rubles, so now at the factory they are engaged in reducing cost. According to insiders, the characteristics will change after optimization: the battery will disappear under the hood, and the cells in the fuel tank area will become larger. As a result, the capacity will increase from 61 to 64 kilowatt hours, which will contribute to an increase in autonomy.

You can order Lada E-Largus from any dealer, but there are no test machines: all electric cars will be released for specific customers. AvtoVAZ and developments on other “batteries” models have: the status of prototypes has E-Aura, and E-Niva.
