In the final press release for 2024, the auto giant announced the upcoming indexation on January 14. AvtoVAZ did not disclose which models and modifications would become more expensive, but promised that the average percentage of price adjustments would be lower than inflation (9.5%). The plant also revealed the number of cars produced during the calendar year: 525,525 cars rolled off the assembly line, which is above the plan of half a million units.
According to AvtoVAZ, prices for the most affordable basic configurations of Lada cars have not changed since November 2023. The plant kept silent about the fact that the “advertising” sedans Granta (from 699,900 rubles) and Vesta NG (from 1,239,900 rubles) have not been produced for a long time. In car dealerships, a basic Granta costs 931,000 rubles, and a Vesta cannot be bought for less than 1,540,000 rubles.
The equipment, filling and price of the cheapest Lada Iskra have been revealed. An advertising brochure for Lada with a local fashion model has been shown in Iran. A simplified Lada Aura for taxis has been revealed before the premiere
During the New Year holidays, AvtoVAZ will adapt conveyors for the production of Lada Iskra, as well as modernize the engine plant: the line will be set up to produce a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter engine for the Niva Legend and Niva Travel SUVs. In addition, workshop repairs are planned during the weekend, which includes replacing the roof, installing LED lighting, gluing in glass, and installing polymer flooring.
AvtoVAZ’s plan for 2025 is the same half a million cars. However, the line will expand to include the Lada Iskra, and “anti-sanction” versions of the Largus crossover station wagons, which did not have a significant impact on this year’s statistics, will return to the range. Also next year, the palette of body colors will be updated: the plant is gradually returning to bright colors.
