AvtoVAZ will develop a hybrid modification of the Lada Azimut crossover

We are talking about a plug-in hybrid (PHEV), which will be equipped with all-wheel drive. The head of the company, Maxim Sokolov, announced this at the International Transport and Logistics Forum, TASS reports.

“Our engineers are developing a plug-in hybrid based on the new Lada Azimut crossover Such a pilot sample of the hybrid Azimut will be ready this year in the third quarter,” Sokolov said.

The technical characteristics of the hybrid version promise to be impressive: the total power of the power plant will reach 290 kW (about 394 hp), which will allow the car to accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 5.7 seconds, the agency reports.

At the same time, the total range (including the electric motor and internal combustion engine) will be 1,100 kilometers without refueling.
