The car was tested in climate chambers that are capable of simulating a variety of scenarios, the press service of the Russian automaker reports. During the tests, the temperature varied from plus 60 to minus 50 degrees Celsius, and humidity changes ranged from 25% to 95%.
Also, the crossover, whose production should start in a few months, was tested in a salt fog chamber. It allows you to simulate long-term and all-season operation of a car.
In addition, Lada Azimut showed a high level of body tightness in the sprinkler chamber, which allows simulating all types of rain and tilting the car on a special platform for more realistic tests.
It was previously reported that in May 2026, production lines and technological equipment will be modernized in Togliatti in preparation for the release of the Lada Azimut crossover.
The production of Lada Azimut itself will begin in September 2026. This was previously reported by the company’s press service with reference to the company’s president, Maxim Sokolov.
Lada Azimut is a completely new compact crossover (B-SUV segment), which will be the first completely original model in this class from a Russian automaker.
