The Russian rally championship overcame its equator, and a new stage is ahead. Bach “Ural Border” takes place from June 12 to 15 in the Chelyabinsk region. This is the fourth stage for SUVs and Baggi in the absolute offspring, raid-sport, T2, T3, and the third for T5 trucks. The race promises to be exciting: athletes are waiting for more than 1000 kilometers, of which about 700 km will have to be specialized.
On the eve of the important international rally, the Silk Road, which starts on July 12 in Irkutsk, some participants decided to save the forces and missed the Russian Rally-Raid championship. Therefore, not many athletes gathered at the Ural Rubezh. The logistics of the race in the Chelyabinsk region also turned out to be a serious load for all participants.

Nevertheless, this new region for rallys will be an excellent training for those who still decided to take part in Bach. For all crews, the conditions and routes will be in the novelty, since in the vicinity of Miass of Rally-Raidam competitions, there have not yet been held. However, some athletes in transit have already passed this region as part of the 2016 Silk Road.
“For me and our team, this is the first race in Miass,” said the navigator of the GAZ Raid Sports Evgeny Pavlov team, “We are going to the new region, which is always interesting.” The Urals is a complex, but picturesque area. We had races in the Chelyabinsk region, but somewhere south of Magnitogorsk. And here, in the Southern Urals, we will be the first time. These edges are a little familiar to me, because I served here. I also participated in races, but in a jeep-trial on a limited site. I have not yet had mountain competitions in this area. The peculiarity of this region is the old, gray -haired Urals. There is no hard Caucasian relief, more and more smoothly. The highway will be interesting, three -dimensional, with many forest roads and a clearing. On mountain tracks, the choice is usually small: there is only one road you go along. Navigation complexity depends on the development of the road network in the mountains. This, in turn, is associated with cutting forests, prey of minerals and other factors. But one thing I know for sure: it will be interesting!
Bach “Ural Border” promises to be difficult: four days of competition will cover two regions: the route will pass through the Miass and Magnitogorsk city districts, as well as Agapovsky, Nagaybaksky, Verkhneralsky, Uysky, Chebarkul districts of the Chelyabinsk region and Uchilinsky and Abzelilovsky districts of Bashkortostan.
For days of race, athletes will pass five special stages. Already on Wednesday, June 11, official tests will take place, where crews will be able to get acquainted with new paths for themselves and make the latest equipment settings before the start. On Thursday, after traditional inspections and inspections, at 11 in the morning, the solemn opening of the competition will take place on the central square of Miass, after which the participants will wait for a short prologue 13 kilometers long.
On Friday, June 13, in the racing menu, two special stages of 100 and 120 kilometers, then on Saturday and Sunday, one specialized concrete of 200 and 250 km, respectively. The organizers promise that athletes are waiting for significant changes in heights up to 600 meters, as well as many fords, thick groves and fireboards. The GAZ Raid Sport team will perform in full force and take part in the race by four main crews – two sports gazelle NN and two NEXT Sadko trucks.
“The fourth stage of the national championship will pass along the roads that were once part of the Silk Road route,” said Vyacheslav Subbotin, sports director of the GAZ Ray Sports, “this race is important for us, since we are preparing for Silkway Rally 2025 and in July we will go to this international competition. This, one might say, is for us the main race of the season. There the tracks will be approximately the same as now. Such a training is an important part of preparation for a serious start, because it shows that not only pilots, but also cars are in good shape. We are ready for these roads: the navigators know where and how to go, and our racing cars – the NN Gazelle and the Sadko NN gas – are tuned to fast paths. The race will be long: four racing days, but the team has all the necessary details and spare parts of high quality, and mechanics will be able to provide reliable maintenance in order to start the almost new car without technical problems every day. Since the roads will be mostly fast and there will be no sand here, we set the suspension and motors to the maximum speed rally areas, where we can show the maximum speed. The team is tuned to this race, and we have every chance to take high places on the catwalk.
On June 11, a test day takes place, and on June 12, full racing days begin. The competition will end on June 15 in Miass. We hope that all crews will be able to prove themselves and get to the finish line. /m
