BMW has released a special X7 for Japan

The Black-α version (read as Black Alpha) is available with diesel or gasoline engine, and the design of the cabin depends on the choice of the power unit. The M60i XDRive Black-α, for example, has floor mats made of wool and decorative overlays using Maki-E technique. There is such a crossover of 21.4 million yen, which corresponds to 11.8 million rubles.

The BMW X7 Black-α special version, like other limits for Japan, focuses on traditional crafts and wealth of their motives. The crossover is painted in the resin-black “metallic” Frozen Black. The frozen enamel gives the car a look of an abyss, in the depths of which Swarovski crystals, the ICONIC Glow and the panoramic roof of the Sky Lounge with a geometric pattern of LED threads flickered. Two modifications are offered to choose from customers: X7 XDRIVE40D Black-α and X7 M60i XDRIVE Black -α. But only the M60i has the front panel and the central console decorated decorative overlays using Maki-E technique.

This is the name of one of the directions in the visual arts of Japan, when the pattern is created by sprinkling gold or silver powder in low varnish. In the case of X7, the motive of Tokitsukadze, or a favorable wind, which symbolizes the game of light and all -consuming darkness, was used. A dick with the name of special versions was made by the masters of Momentum Factory Orii. Instead of the usual stainless steel – copper, moreover, painted according to a unique technology. In the same way, in the Momentum Factory ORII, Buddha’s copper statues, ritual bells and tea utensils are painted.

Finally, for the X7 M60i XDRIVE Black-α, wool rugs woven by Kawashima Selkon are reserved. The yarn for them is painted in two different shades of black. The threads are driven into fabric-rest with a taffeta pistol-the so-called manual tuff technique-in the end to get an “oscillating” Asanagi pattern. The Nishiki Lounge concept had similar rugs, but they were made in the Kasuri technique, which are characterized by torn, uneven contours of the picture. The circulation of X7 Black-α will be 100 copies. Ninety cars will be diesel, nine – gasoline. The tenth X7 M60i XDRIVE Black-α will go to the winner of the golf tournament BMW Japan Golf Tour Championship Mori Building Cup.
