Byd brought Seagull to Europe with an inflated price tag

The Chinese giant launched sales of an electric car, which in the European markets received the name Dolphin Surf (not to be confused with the usual [Dolphin](https://motor.ru/news/byd-moose-09-03-2024.htm)). The four -meter “state employee” turned out to be much less accessible than in China: it is offered for 19,990 euros instead of about nine thousand. Despite this, BYD is successful from BYD, as it is equipped with richer than many competitors from local brands.

In Germany, for example, Byd Dolphin Surf was estimated at 22,990-30,990 euros (2–2.8 million rubles). However, at the start of the Electrochatch can be purchased for 19,990 euros (1.8 million rubles), and this is already much less than the starting value of Citroen E-C3-23,300 euros (2.1 million).

The most affordable electric car of Europe – Dacia Spring – is still cheaper. It costs at least 16,900 euros (1.5 million rubles), but for this price the buyer will receive a car with a very modest interior without a central display and installation with a capacity of only 44 horsepower. To accelerate from a place to 100 kilometers per hour, such a Spring requires 19.1 seconds.

Dolphin Surf is already offered in the “base” with a 10.1-inch touch screen, heating and electric mirrors. The options are more difficult to do with rain sensors, a driver’s seats electric drive, circular review cameras, a compartment for a wireless charging smartphone, external electric mirrors and other options.

The smallest BYD motor gives out 88 horsepower. The top version is equipped with a 156-horsepower unit and accelerates to “hundreds” in 9.1 seconds. The course of the course varies from 221 to 322 kilometers in the city cycle WLTP.

At first, Dolphin Surf will be transported to Europe from China, but subsequently BYD will establish production in Hungary. In the same place, the company will open a new center for the development of electric cars, creating about two thousand jobs.
