CADILLAC Says up with a seven -seater crossover XT6

The production of a large SUV at the brand factory in Spring Hill, Tennessee, will end at the end of the year, CNBC reports. An obsolete crossover, the sales of which leave much to be desired, will give way to new models in the Cadillac line. In less than a year, the American brand introduced six new products, its representatives recalled, commenting on the resignation of XT6.

Part of the production capacities that the XT6 occupied will be given to the expansion of the assembly of the two -row Cadillac XT5. In other things, they plan to abandon the latter, but not earlier than 2027.

“We will continue to make the necessary adjustments to the portfolio in order to grow in the luxury segment,” Cadillac said. The decision is not connected with trade wars, representatives of the brand added.

Cadillac XT6 was introduced back in 2019 and lived until 2025 with minimal changes. At the same time, almost all the nozzle cars, including three -row ones, were completely redesigned, including Chevrolet Traverse, GMC Acadia and Buick Enclave.

The advantages of the XT6 were not enough to win the love of the public in the highly competitive market of large crossovers. The best year for the model was the 2020th, when Cadillac managed to implement 22,609 XT6 units. Further, sales fell, fluctuating between 19 thousand and 20 thousand copies a year.

With the departure of the XT6, the niche of a three -row crossover in the Cadillac line will take an electric Vistiq. It is much more expensive (75 thousand dollars against 50 thousand for XT6), but also much more modern and luxurious, and its two -engine power plant gives out more than 600 horsepower.
