The Avtostat agency shared the statistics of sales of new cars that were bought in Moscow in 2024. In total, over the past year, residents of the capital acquired 202.2 thousand cars, which is a third more than in 2023. 69 percent of them, or 138.9 thousand pieces, were Chinese. If we talk about brands, Geely became the most popular in 2024, and if about models, then the Haval Jolion crossover.

The rating for brands that prefer in Moscow is as follows: in the first place Geely with a result of 27.7 thousand sold cars for 2024, and on the second and third lines there are HAVAL (23.5 thousand pcs.) And Cheri (16 thousand pcs.), Constantly. The fourth position went to Changan (13.5 thousand pcs.), The first five includes the domestic LADA (13.3 thousand pcs). The indicators of other brands amounted to less than 10 thousand cars sold, Avtostat said.

In the first place in the list of the most popular models in the capital was Haval Jolion, the result of which in 2024 amounted to 10.7 thousand units. The second place in the modeling rating was taken by Geely Monjaro (8.7 thousand pcs), the third – Belgee X50 (7.8 thousand pcs). On the fourth line is the Chergo 7 Pro Max (6.8 thousand pcs), closed the five Lada Granta leaders (6.1 thousand pcs.). But beyond was the bestseller of the capital’s car market of 2023 – Geely Coolray.

In total, in Russia for 2024, 1,571,272 new cars were implemented. This is 48.4 percent more than in 2023, and the best result over the past five years, that is, from 2019, when 1.59 million new cars were sold. In the leaders among the brands: Lada, Haval, Chery, Geely and Changan.
