Car Concept C showed what new Audi will be

On his example, the German brand showed a direction in which its design language will evolve. Concept C is a class with a rigid folding roof and an electric power plant, which will be reborn into a serial model. The two -door was presented live in Milan and brought to the IAA exhibition in Munich, which starts next week.

Concept C is designed to demonstrate a completely new “Audi branded face”, inspired by the Auto Union Type racing Auto Union Type and the third generation of A6. He has outstanding wheel arches, a developed shoulder line, a steeply tilted windshield and a rigid folding roof with an electric drive consisting of two elements. There is no rear window – a camera is installed instead.

Concept C also demonstrates a new light signature with four diode elements in each headlight and lantern. Designers note that it will “determine the visual identity of Audi both day and night.” The color of the exterior, called the “titanium”, is inspired by the brilliance of the same metal of the same name.

“Radical simplicity”, which forms the basis of the new approach of Audi to design, also reigns in the cabin, the restrained color scheme of which is also inspired by Titan. The center has a 10.4-inch display of the media system, which can be folded and removed when it is not needed. As promised, Audi did not abandon physical switches that are made of anodized aluminum here. Instead of leather, fabric was used for the sake of ecology.

About the “technique” of the concept and the future serial car for its reasons for Audi have been silent. According to media reports, it will have to wait until 2027, and production will be commissioned at the Audi Böllinger Höfe factory in German Heilbronne.
