The Shevrolet Spark is well signed by the Russians – this name was bore by a budget hatchback, which was officially sold in our market with Nexia and Cobalt. With the same name, the car was sold in his homeland in the United States, but its production was turned back in 2022. Now the new Spark is represented, and this is no longer a hatchback, but a crossover with an angular body and a fully electric power plant. It will be sold in China and beyond.
Chevrolet did not develop a new Spark from scratch, but took the Chinese Baojun Yep Plus as a “donor” (GM-Saic SP), which only replaced the emblems. The novelty was first shown at an event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the presence of General Motors in the Chinese market, and the name Spark was not lit up during the presentation. But it is already known for sure that the model will be called that way – earlier test prototypes with such nameplate were seen during road tests in Latin America. More precisely, the full name of the crossover sounds like Chevrolet Spark EUV, to which the Activ prefix can be added depending on the market.

Despite the fact that the new Spark was shown in China and the local market will become the first for the model, it will be sold outside the PRC, for example, everything in the same Latin America, as well as in the Middle East.
It is worth noting that this is not the first attempt by Chevrolet to revive the name Spark. Under this name, they tried to bring the turning over Wuling Air to Egypt, but the project failed.
