Now the Plato system has been registered more than one and a half million heavy trucks weighing 12 tons, each of which pays 3.5 rubles per kilometer of the journey.

The State Duma of the Russian Federation was proposed to cancel the firm for federal routes for trucks participating in the Plato system. According to the deputy Sergei Mironov, this will allow transport companies to reduce expenses, and will also support industry and agricultural enterprises. He emphasized that due to the cancellation of the collection, it is possible to reduce product prices, including essential goods, since logistics is an important part of the cost.

In addition to trucks, the deputy suggested exemption from the fare on paid roads and other categories of transport – for example, emergency services. He recalled that it is especially important for firefighters not to waste time on administrative procedures.

In April, the authorities of Belarus took similar measures in the field of car transportation. President Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree according to which a recycling fee is canceled for new trucks, as well as trailers and semi -trailers up to three years old. The document applies to the technique of a total mass of 12 to 50 tons corresponding to the EURO-5 environmental class. The initiative is aimed at stimulating international cargo transportation and reducing the financial burden on business.
