Chinese companies recently introduced a new brand, Maextro, which aims to compete with Mercedes-Maybach and Rolls-Royce. Her first child should be a luxury sedan [Maextro S800](https://motor.ru/news/maextro-s800-26-11-2024.htm). Accepting orders for the 5.5-meter new product is already open, but not everything was known about it. Now, thanks to the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry, information about power plants has appeared.
The Maextro S800 electric car will receive a 218 horsepower engine on the front axle and two motors at the rear – one on each wheel. Each of the rear units develops 323 forces. Electric motors are supplied by Huawei.
As for the hybrid, it is an EREV in which the internal combustion engine is used as a generator, and electric motors are connected to the wheels. This sedan will have only two of them – 218 horsepower on the front axle and 313 horsepower on the rear. The 1.5-liter turbocharged engine produces 156 horsepower.

Both the electric car and the hybrid will be equipped with NCM (lithium-nickel-cobalt-manganese) batteries produced by CATL. The gasoline-electric version is powered by a 63.3-kilowatt-hour battery, which should provide up to 371 kilometers of electric-only range. There is no information about the electric car’s battery yet.

In length, width and height, the S800 reaches 5480, 2000 and 1536 millimeters, respectively, with an impressive wheelbase of 3370 millimeters. Wheels are 20-inch. Curb weight, interestingly, is the same for both versions – 2731 kilograms.
In the summer, Huawei and JAC announced the Maextro minivan, which they were going to make the first-born of the brand. It looks like the bet was ultimately placed on a sedan, but a luxury van could be next. He was promised a length of 5.2 meters, “smart” Huawei technologies, a built-in video projector and a price of one million yuan (about 14 million rubles).
