According to the bill preparing the European Commission, such companies will be able to purchase exclusively electric cars for their fleets. This is written by the Bild newspaper. In the EC, the development of the project was confirmed, but without details. The proposal will be ready until the end of summer, and then go to the European Parliament for approval.
Since in rolling fleets, the rotation of cars is fast, it is believed that the ban on the purchase of fuel machines will increase the demand for “batteries” and in general will accelerate the transition to electric cars. In the future, a similar restriction can be introduced for corporate parks.
If the bill is accepted, it will affect about 60 percent of the market of new cars.
In Russia, sales of new electric cars Mercedes-Benz recognized the failure of the electrical “Gelik”: there was no demand in the USA compared the declared and real supply of eight electric cars
The European Union still adheres to the plan to introduce a ban on the sale of cars with ICE since 2035. So far, however, sales of electric cars are not growing as fast as expected. Various measures and restrictions can stimulate market growth, the authorities say.
Many companies against the backdrop of modest demand change the strategy, reducing investments in “trains”. In addition, they adjust the approach to their image and no longer want to highlight the electric cars in their rulers: for example, Volkswagen decided to get rid of the ID sub-blond, and Mercedes-Benz-from EQ.
