Xiaomi showed a 1000-horsepower SUV YU7 GT

Chinese tech giant Xiaomi is completing the creation of a high-performance modification of the YU7 SUV, which is called GT and can compete with Porsche. Carscoops reports this.

The design of the new product has undergone a number of changes that significantly distinguish it from the background of the regular model. The redesign affected the front part: here Xiaomi engineers installed a new lower grille and added a splitter.

The YU7 GT features flared wheel arches to accommodate wider tires. Behind the new wheels are powerful brakes with giant red calipers. The rear part also did not go unnoticed: a different bumper and a more aggressive diffuser complement the image. Silver motorsport paint and racing stripes throughout the body make this prototype visually ready for the race track.

While Xiaomi SU7 Ultra develops 1548 HP. With the help of three motors, the new electric car, judging by documents from China, will be content with “only” 1000 hp. from a twin-engine installation. This is enough for a maximum speed of 300 km/h. This model was not given the Ultra name, but even without it it promises to be very fast.

Tests at the Nurburgring indicate that Xiaomi is working on high track performance. Prices have not been officially announced, but according to rumors they will range from 65 thousand dollars to 73 thousand dollars (about 5.2 million rubles – 5.9 million rubles).
