The former producer of the cult automobile show Top Gear fell under severe sanctions for slight speed excess. However, the punishment turned out to be maximum – he was deprived of his rights for six months and obliged to pay a large fine corresponding to the level of his income.

At the trial, Wilman did not dispute the charge, although he noted that he considers the restriction of 20 miles per hour too low. In addition to temporary removal from driving, he paid a fine of £ 1042 – this is more than 111 thousand rubles. The amount was calculated on the basis of the income level of the offender. Wilman has been working on Top Gear since the beginning of the 2000s, and later became the producer of the Clarkson farm show, launched with former BBC hosts on the Amazon platform.

Since the motorist turned out to be a millionaire, the court decided to recover the maximum amount from him.
