The reason for the audit was the appeal of the National Taxi Council (NST) with complaints of the high cost of AvtoVAZ products. The appeal itself did not officially go, since it was compiled incorrectly, but its goal reached: the antimonopoly service interested the pricing of the domestic manufacturer.
In his February appeal, NST indicated that the cost of Lada Granta for 2021-2023 increased almost 1.6 times, and Vesta – 1.8 times. At the same time, the average price of an economy class machine in Russia increased only by 28 percent at the same time.
Taxi drivers noted that the share of AvtoVAZ products in taxi are constantly growing. More than half of the coming new machines are LADA, which “forms financial dependence” of carriers from AvtoVAZ.
AvtoVAZ offered solid discounts on Vesta universals in Belarus, the head of AvtoVAZ called the basic price of the new Lada ISKRA AvtoVAZ explained why the dealers have no cheapest Granta and Vesta
AvtoVAZ said that he was not the only and non -dominant supplier of taxi cars, and in turn drew attention to a sharp increase in prices for taxi services. As for the cost of LADA, last year they went up by 4.3 percent – this is half the level of inflation recorded by Rosstat.
The NST appeal was associated with the revival of the discussion on taxi localization. At the end of February, it was reported that the relevant law was being prepared for the second reading. Taxi drivers note that it will lead to the monopolization of the supply of car cars.
