The rally was organized with the support of motorsport enthusiasts from the institute. It was at his building on Automotornaya Street that the start ceremony was held – before the start of which rally participants laid flowers to the bas -relief of the memory of the institute who died in the war. [НАМИ](https://nami.ru/) The road book of rally quickly brought the participants outside the city – to the picturesque expanses of the Dmitrovsky district of the Moscow region [НАМИ](https://nami.ru/) Traditionally, in the rally of the third category, the main work falls on the navigator – to calculate the movement schedule on the highway and navigate the terrain … Ilya Krasilnikov … But this time the organizers decided to reduce the intricate “accounting” to a minimum, and to make the main emphasis on navigation riddles. The navigators had to break their heads a lot to get to the finish line without grabbing penalties! Unfortunately, we have no pictures of this action – but let’s say that Andrei Malinev coped with this exercise on the “six” of the Lada (in the photo). Ilya Krasilnikov After that, the crews went to the so -called “mountain road”, along which they had to go through three testing circles. Ilya Krasilnikov To equalize the chances of athletes, cars were divided into four classes in terms of energy supply. Ilya Krasilnikov In the most powerful category, Oleg Markov drove the “three” BMW (but, alas, he grabbed penalties from the judges). Ilya Krasilnikov In the other two classes, the fastest times showed Yuri Pollenok on the “hot hatchback” Mini Cooper … Ilya Krasilnikov … and Peter Kays on the Volkswagen Tiguan crossover. By the way, his crew took second place in the entire rally. Ilya Krasilnikov Well, in the very junior grade, the best result from the Mountain Road was brought by the same Andrei Malinev to the VAZ-2106. On sprints, he showed both speed and stability, after three passages, having received only one penalty point. And thanks to the competent work of the navigator Irina Sharapova, the crew and in the rest of the areas received minimal fines – as a result, winning the absolute standings of the rally. In mid-May, an amateur rally was held in the suburbs “Victory roads”, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War. Forty -five crews on ordinary cars – from the elderly Lada to the brand new BMW – drove over two hundred kilometers along the picturesque roads of the Dmitrovsky district of the Moscow region. Well, the final part of the rally was held at the test training ground near Dmitrov, where the participants competed in the high -speed passage of the ring track.
