Flagship SUV MG Majestor debuts in India

At the Bharat Mobility Expo, the British-Chinese brand, owned by the SAIC concern, showed its largest model – the Majestor SUV with a five-meter body and a seven-seater interior, which will be a step above the frame one. The estimated price is from 4 million rupees, which is approximately 4.6 million rubles.

The angular body of the SUV is mounted on a ladder-type frame. The length from bumper to bumper is 5046 millimeters. At the front, the Majestor has a large radiator grille and two-tier optics, on the side there are footrests, and at the rear there is a fashionable monolight and two exhaust pipes.

The interior decoration has not yet been revealed. Judging by the “twin” Maxus D90, the new product from MG will receive a 12.3-inch display of a multimedia system, a driver’s seat with heating, ventilation and massage, three-zone climate control, a 12-speaker audio system and a sunroof. A set of modern ADAS assistants is also expected.

As for the power unit, the Indian media are predicting a two-liter diesel “four” from Gloster with a capacity of 218 horsepower (480 Nm of torque) for the SUV. It will be paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, with rear or all-wheel drive.

At the end of December, sales of the “hot” electric hatchback MG4 EV began in Russia. The car has a power plant with a capacity of 435 horsepower, all-wheel drive and the only equipment, which the dealer estimates at 5,300,000 rubles. The MG4 accelerates from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.8 seconds.
