Of particular interest for purchase in China and subsequent import to Russia are extended versions of Volkswagen Tiguan, Mercedes E-Class, BMW X3 and other models of global automakers. For China, these cars are available in a version with an extended wheelbase.

“The Chinese Volkswagen Tiguan is a car that the Germans themselves will envy: much larger in size and much more interestingly packaged even by the standards of the Chinese auto industry. That is why it is among the first in orders from delivery companies from China,” the publication notes.

In the Chinese market, the Volkswagen Tiguan L is available in two versions. In the basic version, it is equipped with 1.5 turbo engines with a power of 160 hp, which falls within the power limit allowed for paying a preferential recycling fee. In the Tiguan L Pro version, this car is equipped only with a 2.0-liter gasoline turbo engine producing 220 hp. In China, such cars cost from 236.8 thousand yuan (2.9 million rubles). In Russia, for a Tiguan L Pro imported through parallel import, they are asking 4.5-5.5 million rubles.

Also, through parallel import channels, extended versions of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class (offered on classified websites at a price of 8.6-10 million rubles), BMW 3 Series and X3 are supplied to Russia. The Audi A5, which has become a liftback on the global market, remains a sedan in China. There is also a Volkswagen Magotan model in China, which is related to the global Passat.
