Geely brand has prepared a five-meter Preface L90 sedan

This is Geely’s new flagship sedan, which is a renamed version of the Galaxy Starshine 7 Max hybrid model, as it will be produced under the main Geely brand. Compared to the standard Geely Preface, the new product turned out to be noticeably larger: its length is 4956 mm (+131 mm), width is 1915 mm (+35 mm), height is 1505 mm (+35 mm), and the wheelbase size is 2845 mm. For comparison, the length of the current Mercedes-Benz is 4949 mm.

The Geely Preface L90 will be able to offer both internal combustion engines and hybrid power plants. In the first case, the buyer will have access to units with a volume of 1.5 (198 hp) and 2.0 (268 hp) liters.

As for hybrids, this will be the latest Geely i-HEV system, built around a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine with 161 hp. There is a high probability that this engine will be assisted by an electric motor producing 235 hp.

The main technological feature of the Preface L90 will be the optional roof-mounted lidar, which ensures the operation of the advanced G-Pilot H5 driver assistance system based on two NVIDIA Orin-X chips with a capacity of 508 TOPS.

As analysts suggest, Geely is launching the Galaxy Starshine 7 Max sedan under its own brand in order to begin export deliveries of such cars. Details will be revealed on July 10.
