The car, known in China under the name Binyue L, differs from that presented on the Russian market in appearance and equipment; the Russian representative office of Geely plans to bring it to the Russian market as early as 2026, reports Avto.ru Magazine, citing its own source.
“The Russian representative office of Geely is considering the possibility of launching a new Coolray in 2026. We are talking about a model that is known in China as the Binyue L – it differs from the familiar Coolray both outside and inside. Binyue L is an updated version of the crossover familiar to Russians, which has been sold on the Chinese market since the fall of 2024,” the publication notes.
Under the hood of the Binyue L for the Chinese market is a 1.5 turbo engine with 181 hp, which is paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The crossover can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds.
The Coolray model disappeared from the official Geely website in Russia in the fall of 2025. The most affordable crossover in the Geely line in Russia at the moment is Cityray, which is offered at a price of 2.85 million rubles, excluding discounts and special offers.
