HAVAL will stop producing monopypodic machines, and that’s why

The technical director of the brand of Lou Vanbin confirmed Autohome that in the future the company will produce only all -wheel drive products. Although in China’s domestic market cars dominate two wheels, Haval engineers and marketers are sure of the rate on four leading wheels: this solution will improve safety and controllability without the detriment of cost.

Lou Wanbin said that Haval cars in new energy sources will receive a non -alternative Hi4 transmission. The architecture with three engines (two on the front axle and one on the rear axle) is optimal in terms of weighting, and the ability to switch between gasoline and electric power helps to reduce fuel consumption.

With all-wheel drive and the electric system, the dynamics are better than the dynamics: 0-100 acceleration is reduced to six seconds, and the power is enough for overtaking. Finally, the technical director of Haval emphasized the controllability of all -wheel drive machines: they have better clutch with slippery roads, stability when rebuilding at high speed and higher safety factor. The specialist made it clear that four leading wheels will no longer be a prerogative of luxury brands.

According to the HAVAL top manager, the stereotypes about all drive are stable in China: buyers believe that such a transmission is a synonym for heavy off-road. However, in fact, all -wheel drive machines have huge potential: now such vehicles cover only 5%of the car market, while in the USA this figure is 75%, and in Canada is 89%. However, for export markets, Haval can produce monopoly versions for a long time.
