Homemade camper at the base "GAZ Trofim" put up for sale in the Moscow region

The unusual mobile home is built on the chassis of a 2006 Trofim pickup truck. These trucks were produced in small batches at the Tula Gidroprivod plant and were initially equipped with a cab from the GAZ-3110. The presented example has been seriously modified; in appearance it resembles the classic Volga GAZ-24, which gives it the charm of a retro car.

According to the seller who published the lot on the Avito classified site, the car has participated in exhibitions more than once and invariably attracted attention on the road, collecting thousands of likes on social networks. The project itself took the author three years of work. A residential module more than four meters long and almost two meters wide is mounted on the chassis. Inside, according to the owner, there are three or four sleeping places, a full bathroom with a shower and sink, as well as a kitchen area with hot water.

Under the cabin, instead of the standard power unit, there is now a 2.4-liter Chrysler EDZ gasoline engine with a power of about 137 horsepower. The mileage of the power unit is 70 thousand kilometers. In addition, the heavy camper is equipped with disc brakes on all wheels, which should have a positive effect on safety.
