Almost a year ago, the Japanese company showed concepts of a new wave of “battery-powered” cars – a wedge-shaped sedan and a minivan with a futuristic appearance. Now Honda has published a teaser, which, as it claims, shows prototypes close to the series, but a crossover has taken the place of the van. The premiere will take place in Las Vegas at the CES 2025 consumer electronics show in January.
The prototype on the left is almost a copy of the Saloon EV, a show car that Honda brought to Las Vegas earlier this year. It has a single-volume body, unusual for a sedan, a rectangular headlight reminiscent of that of the Hyundai Mufasa, and a small brake light at the bottom.

The crossover on the right is shown for the first time. It also received original optics and seems to be devoid of traditional rear-view mirrors. It can also be seen that the mid-size SUV has a long wheelbase and an almost vertical rear window.
Honda showed the new Prelude for the first time. The Japanese chose “Car of the Year”. And this is a minivan. Honda was sued due to poor-quality paint.
The cars will become the ancestors of the 0 Series line. They will be joined by an entry-level crossover in 2026, and a large three-row SUV in 2027. A couple more elevated models and a compact sedan should expand the lineup by the end of the decade. Thus, by 2030, Honda will sell seven 0 Series models worldwide.
Meanwhile, Honda and Nissan, in financial distress, began merger talks. Their result should be the emergence of a new automobile alliance, which will include Mitsubishi Motors. In the summer, former head of Nissan Carlos Ghosn said that behind this lies Honda’s desire to absorb its compatriot competitors.
