The problem affected more than 46 thousand cars produced in the UK, as well as in other European countries. The European Commission has initiated a recall campaign for cars that were produced from 2017 to 2021 due to improper tightening of wheel nuts during production.
“The problem is that, according to the European Commission, the wheel nut is not tightened with enough torque. This can lead to the nuts loosening while the vehicle is in motion, creating the risk of wheel loss, accident and injury,” reports Autoexpress.
