The next one, the 12th Civic should appear on the market only in 2027, and it will already be produced at the American brand factory in Indiana, otherwise a duty of 25 percent will apply to cars.

Now Honda supplies approximately 80 percent of Mexican -made cars in the United States, and in general, a share of imports from Mexico and Canada in the total sales of the Japanese brand in the country accounts for about 40 percent. Civic is in second place in popularity among other Honda models in the United States, second only to CR-V crossover. The company in Indiana, in turn, will be able to produce up to 210 thousand copies of Civic per year.

As for the new customs gathering for goods from Mexico and Canada, which is introduced by Donald Trump, it may begin to be charged in early March. In the future, the same tax can be introduced in relation to goods imported in the United States from Europe.
