Autostat found out the answer to this question: according to the agency, last year dealers of the domestic brand sold 23 thousand cars. Of these, just over 19 thousand are Moskvich 3 crossovers with a gasoline engine, 2.4 thousand Moskvich 6 liftbacks and over 1.3 thousand Moskvich 3e electric vehicles. Already at the beginning of this year, Moskvich will launch its fourth model, the large three-row all-terrain vehicle Moskvich 8.
In December, the Moskvich plant sold more than 2.4 thousand cars, including more than 360 Moskvich 6 liftbacks and approximately 160 Moskvich 3e electric vehicles.
At the end of 2024, Moskvich claimed to have increased sales by 60 percent compared to 2023, when 15 thousand cars were sold. Over the past year, the capital plant did not launch new models, but switched to full-cycle production (CKD) – for this, a completely new welding line was built. “This was an important step towards the disaggregation of vehicle kits and localization of components,” the company said earlier.

Now the brand’s cars are equipped with Russian batteries, tires, wheels, and glass from the Bor Glass Factory. In 2025, Moskvich intends to continue to deepen the level of localization, in particular, switch to fuel tanks, polyurethane foam and other components of Russian production.
In the second half of February, the fourth model of the brand will be launched – the large three-row crossover Moskvich 8. This is an analogue of the Chinese JAC X8 Plus; it will be offered with a 1.5-liter gasoline engine producing 174 horsepower in conjunction with a “robot”. The drive will be front-wheel drive only.
Other new products are also included in Moskvich’s plans, but production is “a resource-intensive and expensive process; it is impossible to launch new models until there is an understanding of what the market will be like in 2025,” the company believes. In the longer term, Moskvich will begin producing a new original domestic car with an internal combustion engine – this will happen in 2026.
