In China, the flagship N9 trucks began to roll off the assembly line of the Zhengzhou-Nissan plant. We are talking about a full-size frame pickup truck with a two-row cab and a one and a half meter long platform. At first, only petrol modifications with a 2.0 turbo engine (258 horsepower) and an 8-speed automatic transmission are expected, but in the future there will also be a hybrid with a torque of up to 800 Nm.
Electric pickups: who needs it and why?
Official photos of the exterior appeared at the end of December, but Dongfeng-Nissan showed the interior only now. Moreover, the Autohome portal has already met the pickup truck in one of the car dealerships! The Z9 truck is distinguished by its gigantic dimensions: length/width/height are equal to 5520/1960/1950 millimeters, respectively, and a wheelbase of 3300 millimeters.

Small overhangs, solid approach/departure angles (36/37 degrees, respectively), and ground clearance of 270 millimeters will help you off-road. The fording depth is 900 millimeters, and the load capacity is 800 kilograms. Even the petrol version will be able to tow a trailer with a total weight of 2.8 tons. However, the Dongfeng Z9 cannot be called a utilitarian truck, although the rear suspension is simple: the axle is suspended on springs.

The pickup truck has all-LED optics with a Z-pattern of daytime running lights, a leather interior, electrically adjustable front seats, an audio system with giant speakers in the doors, double-layer glass, a digital instrument panel and a media system with a large touchscreen. At the same time, there are plenty of “hot” keys, and you can press them even with gloves. They did not switch to sensors and a multifunction steering wheel.
A frame pickup truck from the Chinese Nissan plant will officially appear in Russia
Sales of the Dongfeng Z9 are expected in the spring; in addition to the purely gasoline version, which has already been certified, hybrid and diesel options are planned. Currently, other models from the Zhengzhou Nissan plant are being supplied to Russia: we are talking about the Paladin SUV and the Palaso pickup truck. In theory, the “nine” can also get into our country through official channels.
