Hyundai has submitted applications for models indexes that were not previously sold in Russia

The Rospatent database IX10, IX40 and IX50 appeared, which may indicate plans to register new crossovers. At the same time, the concern officially does not confirm the return to the market.

The Korean headquarters of the Hyundai concern issued in Russia copyright for three new model designations: IX10, IX40 and IX50. Earlier, cars with such indices in the Russian market were not offered, but there were already cars with a similar marking in the brand model line. Patents were published in the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property.

Judging by the logic of the name of the Hyundai models, the new designations may belong to the line of crossovers – the letter X traditionally indicates an off -road orientation, and the numbers reflect the dimensions. In addition, the patent base records the registration of the KIA logo, the name of the Drive Wise Assistant system, the XCEED model and the Hyundai Finance brand. Despite activity in the patent sphere, neither the Hyundai nor KIA made official statements about the return to the Russian market.

Previously, KIA patented in Russia the design of the new K4 sedan, which replaced the Cerato model. The car sketches appeared in the FIPS database: the model is distinguished by an unusual silhouette, hidden rear doors and large overhangs. Despite the typical body of the sedan, as long as it is only patent protection – there was no official announcement of the supply of a car to Russia.
